Launched at TBSF in 2010, OLPC Canada strives to empower Aboriginal youth to play an active role in their own education through access to learning centered technology. Canada’s first National One Laptop per Child program, OLPC Canada has provided more than 3600 laptops to Aboriginal youth 6-12 years of age in rural, remote and urban communities in 7 provinces and 2 territories.

It is the mission of TBSF to incubate innovative programs confronting global challenges, when they have established a proven track record, set them up as standalone organizations with new partners to reach the next level. We are proud that OLPC Canada is now following this path and will continue to grow and reach its full potential as an independent not-for-profit organization.
